The Hyde Away Inn was featured, once again, in the December, 2010 issue of Ski Magazine: “APRÈS — Fans of authentic ski bars should not leave the valley before checking out the Hyde Away Inn on Route 17. Find a nook inside the old farmhouse’s warren of rooms and enjoy the Ptex-infused vibe alongside the locals; hydeawayinn.com.”

“…Hyde Away was a total treat! Its local vibe coupled with uneven floors and outstanding french onion soup, made it a perfect transition from the weekly grind into the classic Vermont experience known as Sugarbush. Owners Margaret and Bruce Hyde exude the essence of Green Mountain hospitality. Margaret told us about a hiking trail behind the Inn, and even offered to lend us snowshoes. The view of Sugarbush on our one-hour hike was beautiful as we wandered over moose, deer, rabbit and fox tracks. Read more…

“…Another choice away from the lifts is the historic Hyde Away Inn and Restaurant on Route 17 in Waitsfield (802-496-2322; www.hydeawayinn.com). With a rustic red-barn-look and silo, the cozy tavern in the Hyde Away has been hosting rocking off-mountain parties for decades. A favorite of the year-round residents…”
